showing that we have established a beachhead at MTEST and done some preliminary assembly and testing of the detectors. The FTBF staff (Mandy, JJ, Ewa, and Todd) has again been extremely helpful and accommodating.
Yesterday and today, we set up the HCAL and EMCAL for testing, and saw LED's in both. With much help from Martin, we solved some computing problems and copied data to

Next week, quite a few of you will be here for the setup and startup. The latest schedule from Mandy is that we'll be switching over on *Wednesday* (we thought it was Tuesday), and we'd like to install and get going as soon as we can. Mandy's email said:
The previous group will be taking data through Tuesday night. We’ll open up
first thing Wednesday morning and remove the other group. Then start
installing you guys.
On Tuesday of next week (4/5) I’d like a preliminary safety walk through.
This was initiated by Tom for the gas system, but while people are out, we
should check as many systems as possible.
John, the powerpoint you sent me looks reasonable. I’ll pass this on and
we’ll see what feedback we get from the electrical safety people.
We’ll plan to have the ORC for the full system on Thursday. We’ll have to do
separate ORCs for T1048 and T1037 after they install, which I believe is
later in the run. Any information T1048 and T1037 can get in advance or
systems that can be checked in advance will make the final ORC go more
smoothly.
