Dear test beam aficionados,

as of Friday, we are recording the data from the wire chambers as
separate (but run-number-matching) data files.

These are NOT the exact same events sphenixdaq is triggering on; we just
record the data from the chambers while we are taking data.

The way this works is that the main DAQ, in its begin-run, sends a
daq_begin with its own run number to another rcdaq instance which then
records the MWPC data. When the main DAQ ends a run, it sends daq_end to
its partner.

As of now, it will not help with event-by-event information, although
tomorrow I will see if we can actually trigger the chambers with our
accepted trigger signal. As it is, it can give you an idea how wide the
beam spot is.

It's getting late; more details to tomorrow.

The 2nd DAQ instance is running on the hcaldaq machine. It is best to
leave this one alone and let it do its thing (we have to restart it if
hcaldaq gets rebooted). It runs out of /home/phnxsa/mwpc and gets
started with "sh rcdaq_mwpc.sh". The data go to /data/phnxsa/mwpc/.

I attach a picture from run 2209 to show that it works.

Best,
Martin
