sPHENIX EMCal discussion

Dear Emcal aficionados,

as you know, my SULI student Joseph "Joey" Smiga has given a number of
presentations in our Emcal meetings.

This is the final week for the SULI students, and Wednesday and Thursday
will be this season's closeout. The students will have two poster
sessions and present their work.

I'm happy to report that Joey is among the select few who were chosen
to also give an oral presentation Thursday about the work he did for
sPHENIX. The title is "Improving calorimeter resolution using
temperature compensation calculations". The presentations will be in
Physics in the small conference room starting at 9:30. I know we will
have the workfest, but maybe we can spare a moment to attend.

Congratulations to Joey. Well done.
