Hi John,
From what I can see from the Wiki it looks like we have a pretty complete data set for EMCAL3. As far as I'm concerned, it's fine to take it for a ride on the railroad. Also, Sean and Bill have almost got the two new blocks ready with the Saint Gobain fibers (along with two of the old blocks with the Kuraray fibers). They will come in a box very similar to EMCAL3 (maybe we want to call this one EMCAL4....) which we will probably want to mount on the 2C table for testing, This may cause come problem with having the hodoscope and readout electronics in the right place, so we have to think about we want to do that. They're still working on getting it together but hopefully it should be out there by early next week. I'll be arriving there tomorrow so we can talk more then.
Cheers,
Craig

major data sets we have taken, if I count everything correctly:
- 3 vertical MIP calibrations (two forward, one "backward")
- 2 100k energy scans (-2, -4, -6, -8, -12, -16), one at "-10 degrees",
one at "0 degrees," and another partial energy scan at "-10 degrees"
- 6x6 position scans at "0 degrees" and "-10 degrees"
T-1068 is un-installing tomorrow (Tuesday), and there is work on a linac
RF cavity that they'd like to do... unless there is compelling reason to
leave it on the MT6.2c table, I will deploy my posse to move the
calorimeter to its position in front of the IHCAL tomorrow morning.
Unfortunately, I can still think of some measurements that would profit
from the table, and Martin's scripting of its movement has made it even
more attractive, but with two weeks left, I think we better move on
unless there are compelling objections.
