Dear All,
  First of all, Happy New Year to everyone and I hope you all had a 
nice holiday and everyone stayed safe and healthy. It's a new year and 
we all hope it will be a better one compared to 2020. It will also be a 
busy one since we're supposed to complete construction of all 64 sectors 
of the EMCAL by the end of this year and have them ready for 
installation by early 2022 which will surely be a challenge.

  We will have our first meeting of the year this Friday Jan 8th at our 
usual time of 10:30 am EST. Given our previous cycle of bi-weekly 
general meetings and local BNL meetings, this week's meeting would 
normally be a local BNL meeting, but I think we need to start the year 
by hearing from everyone, so it will be a General Meeting where we hear 
reports from Fudan, UIUC and BNL. We'll then have another General 
Meeting next Friday Jan 15th and then go back to our normal bi-weekly 
schedule, alternating from General to Local.

  Also, starting this year, we will use Zoom for our online meetings. 
It is now the recommended meeting software used by BNL and is certainly 
widely used everywhere so hopefully it will work well for us. I've 
created a new Indico page for our EMCAL meetings which gives the Zoom 
link we will use (but only for the next two weeks so far). The link for

However, just for our first few meetings I've also left the Bluejeans 
link on the website in case for some reason we have to switch back.

 Again, Happy New Year to all and we'll look forward to hearing from 
everyone on Friday.
