Dear All,
With the start of the New Year and the completion of block production at UIUC and in China, along with the new series of meetings on calorimeter calibrations with the HCAL group, we've decided to change the format of our weekly EMCAL meeting. We will now have our weekly EMCAL meeting starting at 9:00 am EST every Friday, beginning tomorrow Jan 21st, and lasting only one hour rather than an hour and a half. This will make it slightly easier for our colleagues in China and also shorten the meeting since we will no longer have reports on block production from UIUC and China. Also, a lot of of our discussion on calibrations will now take place in the joint EMCAL-HCAL calibration meetings which will also take place weekly. The first meeting took place this past Wednesday (1/19) from 1:00 - 3:00 pm EST the next one is scheduled to take place next Thursday (1/27) starting at 4:00 pm EST. The dates and times of these meeting may change, so please check for further notices about this from Justin or Megan.

Therefore, our EMCAL meetings will be devoted mainly to discussing the status of module production, sector assembly and sector testing here at BNL, but we will also begin discussing things related to installation and commissioning as time goes on. Hopefully this will consolidate some of these meetings a bit and allow us to focus on more specific topics. Our first meeting will be tomorrow, so let's give it a try and we'll see how things go. Here's the link:  https://indico.bnl.gov/event/14024/  With block production complete and sector production and testing coming down the home stretch, let's hope we can move on soon to talking about getting everything installed and up and running !

Cheers,
Craig
