Dear All,
Having just had our Collaboration Meeting this week and with the Commissioning Workfest taking place Thursday and Friday, we will not have an EMCAL meeting this week. The next two weeks are during the Christmas and New Year's holidays so I suggest we don't try and meet during those weeks either.
This then takes us into next year where we will be very busy be getting the EMCAL ready for commissioning and the start of data taking next spring. We of course have already started to do that, but this will surely continue and even intensify as we try and turn on the EMCAL and other detectors for the first time.
We already have a weekly calorimeter calibration meeting on Tuesdays at 11:00 am that many of us have been attending and there are many other weekly planning meetings for the work going on in 1008. We've also now completed our KPPs and sPHENIX now has CD4 approval. I therefore don't think we need to continue our regular weekly EMCAL meetings so I'm not going to set up any Indico pages or Zoom links going into next year. However, if other people feel differently and think we should continue them, please let me know. But for now, at least, we will not have any more EMCAL meetings for the rest of this year, so please enjoy the holidays and some well deserved quality time with your friends and family and have a safe, healthy and happy holiday season.
Cheers,
Craig
