Hi All,
After our discussion yesterday about the regions with the low energy response between the EMCAL sectors I realized that we should keep in mind that the sectors are tilted in both phi and eta which should help mitigate the effect of the gaps. There therefore shouldn't be any effect of channeling for photons or even for electrons except for some low momentum tracks that may spiral into the gaps. Nevertheless, there should still be an effect of the extra material at the edges of the sectors as well as the gaps between them, but the tilt should tend to wash this out.
Cheers,
Craig
