Subject: [Sphenix-bulk-l] some questions

                 Dear All,
To anyone who is interested: in
/gpfs02/sphenix/user/bumazhnov/w_pdf/cosmic_muons_scattering.pdf
there are some results on cosmic muons scattering in the calorimeters
matter.

And I have some questions on the cosmic muons calibration:

1) What trigger was used when cosmic muons data was
gathering(collecting) by sPHENIX? Have all cosmic muons passing through
the sPHENIX setup been recorded? What kind of cuts were applied to the
momentum and angles of cosmic muons?
Where are these DST or PRDF files? Or where is the documentation on
which they can be found?
Are there any notes on  calorimeters calibration with cosmic muons to
understand what was being done?
   And where are they located?

2) I think that the best option for  calorimeters calibration and other
phenix detectors with cosmic muons
is to register all cosmic muons passing through sPHENIX. This option
will correspond to the simulation
of the passage of cosmic muon spray also through the entire(complete)
sPHENIX  setup using G4. It is because
the cosmic muons are rescattered in the matter of sPHENIX detectors.

3) Has a simulation of the passage of cosmic muon spray through the
entire sPHENIX setup been done?
If so, where are these DST files? Or where is the documentation by which
they can be found.

4) If for any sPHENIX detector there are simulated cosmic muons DST
files which were created by macros which had
the string "Enable::CEMC = true;" ,then how do I find out where they
are? How can I look for such information
  and documentation on it?

5) It takes about 20 cpu minutes of the cluster node processor to
simulate DST for 100 horizontal cosmic muons.
Simulated DST files which were obtained when the cosmic muon spray
passed at least only through EMCal are needed.
Since muons are scattered when passing through any substance, the best
option is the passage of a spray of cosmic muons
through the entire(complete) sPHENIX setup.
If there are no such simulated DST files for EMCal, then they probably
need to be made. This will require significant CPU time.
And this needs to be discussed.

Please send answers on my questions and your questions on
cosmic_muons_scattering.pdf by email because I shall not understand
zoom-speaking.
Thanks in advance for your answers and questions.
    With best regards,
                       Vladimir
