Hi Edouard,
The HCal meeting is not tomorrow, its next Tuesday (Feb. 23rd) at 3:00PM.
You should be able to post your slides to Indico after you Log In to the site. (You should be able to do that). You don’t have to Log in to view the site or view others slides.
Regarding your value engineering slides. We were not really talking about flat plates for the Outer HCal, only for the Inner. We realize that for the Outer HCal Stock (flat) plates are probably not feasible, but if you tapered tiles were feasible, then there would be reason to reconsider this option.

Hi, John,
I can't put it on agenda - not in the list of managers. Someone needs to do it for me.
Edward
PS. Comment to value engineering from last meeting.
Tapered tiles are already tested - they are in HCal lab and everyone have seen them. With small tiles - it is easy, with long tiles - a bit more sophisticated and time consuming but doable. What is important - tiles with reflective coating are
not sensitive at all to minor damage to surface caused by machining (if 50mkm limited) - coating process takes care of it. Even more - machined tile if left untreated will be prone to crazing. Chemical treatment takes care of its longevity.
Flat iron plates are great idea. Unfortunately - they leave no space for scintillator at the inner radius of HOuter (or leave a lot of empty space in the structure) - I thought we gave it up.
Let’s first finish with our existing prototype, it looks so elegant that any attempts to “improve” it today sound like heresy. After the run we may use “stretching” to take a break and one more look into the whole design.
