Dear All,

Here the minutes of yesterday’s calibration meeting.

Regards,
Stefan

Hanpu—data analysis update (see slides)
———————————————————————
- sector 5:  MPV too low.  Need to investigate (ACTION ITEM 912 crew)
- Now that voltage setting has been fixed and the peak has lowered by a factor 2.25 (or so), the background likely extends into the peak region.
- therefore fitting background with different approaches:  constant, Woods-Saxon, step function
- fit not sensitive to extend of background under peak (P5 in slice 6:  large uncertainty)
- still MPV uncertainty < 1 %
- some channels don’t seem to have background/pedestal:  need to investigate;
  - this might always be the same readout channel (ACTION ITEM 912 crew: swap cables in HBD digitizers)
  - could be related to pedestal subtraction of raw data (ACTION ITEM Hanpu:  look at pedestal subtraction)
- second band in MPV vs PR correlation plot not a concern:  related to B24 and B25 tiles with average PR > 1
- need to investigate outliers in sectors 15 and 5 (ACTION ITEM 912 crew)

Shuhang—data analysis update (see slides)
——————————————————————————————
- accumulated distribution of background candidate events by selecting hits where ADC count is 150 less than that of tower vertically above or below
- background candidates include signal, but signal contribution can be calculated, so that some measure of the real background can be extracted
