Dear All,

Here the minutes of last week’s meeting (also on indico):

Regards,
Stefan

Workfest update—Saif (verbal update)
———————————————
- implemented LED code that has been used by Dan into sPHENIX framework
- goal:  simulate LED calibration data

Hanpu—LED fitting and T dependence (see slides)
———————————————
LED fitting
- observed non-gaussian tail in some cases
 T dependence
- T dependence more stable for cosmics runs than for LED runs
- determined new temperature coefficient from cosmics runs:  -3.87 %
- EMCal result was - 3.125 % (based on plot from John Haggerty
- Jingyu had found -3.38 % based on cosmics tests at GSU
   => check with John Haggerty
- Edward:  investigate outliers

Shuhang—LED data analysis  (see slides)
————————————————
- pre- and post-burn-in LED data narrowly correlated
- distribution narrows after T correction
- no strong correlation between LED and cosmics data
  - Stefan:  as expected since LED peak varies a lot channel by channel
- will look into Test Pulse data as well
- will update T correction with Hanpu’s new coefficient

Edward:
- we are now in a position to do gain matching using the LED position and should develop the code for this
- Stefan:  that’s a project of its own
