Dear All,

Here the minutes of last week’s calibration meeting (also on indico):

Regards,
Stefan

PR and temperature correction--Hanpu (see slides)
—————————————
- tile PR distribution significantly narrower for inner than for outer HCal
- run temperature distribution wider for inner than outer HCal
  - Stefan speculated this is b/c oHCal sectors were calibrated in the summer while iHCal sectors in the winter
  - in the summer there is no air conditioning in the 912; so the inside temperature is similar to the outside temperature
  - in the winter there is heating at fixed power (not controlled), so the inside temperature is very different from the outside temperature
  - therefore, when the large roll-up door is opened, the temperature can be changed much more in the winter than in the summer
- sector 29 has no calibration data in the South (retaken since)
- sector 5 has its first run marked as questionable in the elog (verified as good since)

Rotation test--Shuhang (see slides)
————————————————————————
- sector 12 was rotated 45 degrees to take calibration data (see figure)
- similar energy cut needed also in this position to remove low energy peak
- previous week’s plot had bug; now peak position in rotated position higher (not lower), but peak still narrower

iHCal simulation—Ejiro (verbal update)
—————————————————————————
- started to work on simulation
- going to give update at next meeting

Dear All,

(Please excuse the late announcement.  I was hoping we’d have settled on a time slot for the new joint meeting by now.)

We’ll have our next HCal Calibration Meeting today at 4:00pm:

(Zoom info below)

Please let me know if you’d like to present something, and I’ll make an entry for you on the indico page.

Regards,
Stefan
