Hi Blair,

the last point 3b) (it reads a) twice...) doesn't look right to me. You would apply the gain correction as you process the data to write DSTs, so those would already have your best shot at DST production time in them.

It is possible or perhaps even likely that you then later get a 2nd-order correction that you do apply to the DSTs then ("afterburner"), as long as those are unlikely to make really dramatic changes.

It is important that you have the bulk corrections right on the DST because a large gain factor variation will affect the initial clustering outcome, so you need to do it then. The assumption is that any afterburner applied is a small delta that shifts the cluster energy a bit but leaves the cluster in itself intact. (And yes, if one was too far off, it is better to re-produce the DSTs to avoid that clustering going awry).

(As I need to run another track at the workshop it is unlikely that I will be able to do more than say what I think needs to happen ahead of time... so...)

Best,
Martin

Dear Calo Calib Group,

I had some problem with the versioning of the task list and accidentally sent out an old version.  The below link is up to date.  I also subscribed to more lists so you might be seeing this for the first time. See the below emai, if this is the case.

*Subject:* Commisioning workfest planning for the "calibrations" track

Dear Calo Calib Group,

As discussed during this week’s meeting, I am compiling the task list for the “calorimetry calibrations” track for the commissioning workfest.  I would like your input on this via this google doc that can be edited by anyone.  Feel free to send comments or edit the document directly.  I am hoping you can comment on this in the next few days.

This list is fairly brief due to the narrow scope of this track and also some items/tasks (LED and DB storage of SiPM voltages) will be generated after discissions are made during planned meetings.
