Hi all,

As I just posted to the new Calo calibrations channel:

Justin Frantz

Hi everyone, Sijan derived quickly the best cut timing values for the EMCAL for all of Anthony's best runs for QM analysis. You can find a table of them and other info in this pdf linked here www.phenix.bnl.gov/~jfrantz/sphenix/SijanRegmi_emcal_timing_cuts_best_080223.pdf. Could the UIUC group either share their bad tower lists similarly or can the next stage of dsts be produced with those towers masked out for each of the relevant runs?

The summarized table with best cut values is on second to last "summary slide"

Actually I think on 2nd

thought we should have the lists for each run posted somewhere (even if they are code files/arrays on sdcc somewhere since perhaps after calibrating better, we will find some of those towers get fixed.

Use caution with links and attachments.
Folks, as discussed in the meeting today, here's a preliminary list of good runs to be used for calibrations. The first nine runs have all 8 SEB's and are in bold:

21518
21520
21598
21599
21615
21626
21796
21813
21889
21891
22949
22950
22951
22979
22982

For these events we've avoided runs where the EMCal is noted to be in high-gain mode and ensured there is good correlation with the MBD. Unfortunately, those cross-checks come at a heftier statistical cost, with the following breakdown in terms of the number of events:

With all SEBs: 4.3M
With >= 5 SEBs: 6.4M

Additionally, I've created the following mattermost channel to discuss the joint EMCal/HCal calibration:
