Dear All,
Here the minutes of the commissioning meeting today (also on indico):
Best,
Stefan
Justin:
- would be good to take pedestal data
- Anthony, Silas: that is the plan
Martin: mapping
- Sean has the mapping of fibers
- Martin will reach out to Tim to get mapping from packets to towers (Action Item)
EMCal start-up---John (see slides)
———————————————————————
- no temperature dependence in the detector
- but with leakage current increasing, bias voltage will change
- capability exists to change bias on the fly depending on current and temperature
- modest annealing observed (as expected)
- evaporation (telnet issue -> error handling)
- Sasha: is zero suppression fixed threshold or dynamical?
- Martin: file gets loaded when ADCs are being configured
- John: future presentation on zero suppression
HCal start-up and health checks—Silas (see slides)
———————————————————————————
- gain balancing and cosmics: Hanpu is going to present next week
Hanpu: one towers flip bits only when bias is on and in High Gain
Stefan: there was an attempt to change preamp board last year, but maybe wrong board was changed. Will try to change preamp board once more.

So, as always, if you have something you'd like to present, please send Blair or me an email, and we'll add you to the agenda.Best,-Anthony and BlairAnthony Hodges, PhD (he/him/his)High Energy Experimental Nuclear PhysicsPostdoctoral Researcher, NSF MPS-Ascend FellowUniversity of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
