Dear all,
A new set of run-by-run OHCal calibrations for 2024 pp data taking are now available on the CDB (global tag = ProdA_2024). To get newly calibrated towers, you have to input the DST_CALOFITTING or DST_JETCALO dsts (any anaXXX will do), properly set your global
tag timestamp as the run number, and call Process_Calo_Calib() before your analysis macro. You also need to be using a daily coresoftwware build of Feb. 20th or later. Many of you are doing all these steps already 🙂.
This calibration is at the absolute MIP scale, and improves run-to-run stability, and phi symmetry. There is no planned update to the MC calibration before QM.
Special thanks to Hanpu Jiang, Justin Bryan, and Anthony Hodges for helping out.
Best,
Blair
