Dear IB members,

As we discussed at the last IB meeting, we need to form a committee to lead 
the spokesperson election at the end of the year. The goal is to present 
candidates/statements at the FSU collaboration meeting and have the vote 
shortly thereafter, following the same procedure as for the last election.

Marzia Rosati has kindly volunteered to chair this committee. Marzia will 
work with the IB to assemble the full committee and then lead the nomination 
and election process as outlined in the sPHENIX bylaws.

PS: Those of you who studied the sPHENIX bylaws closely will have noticed 
that the selection of the committee chair appears to rely on spontaneous 
self-organization of the IB. We deviate from this procedure, as agreed at the 
IB meeting, by having the co-SP propose the committee chair, so that chair 
and IB can then take it from there.
