sPHENIX Institutional Board

    Dear sPHENIX IB,
      
      We heard presentations at last Friday's IB meeting from three
      institutions seeking to join the sPHENIX collaboration.  David
      Silvermyr presented for Lund University, Rong-Shyang Lu presented for
      National Taiwan University, and Sanghoon Lim presented for Pusan
      National University.  The case for each institution is quite
      strong and we encourage the IB to take a very positive view of
      these applications.  The slides that were shown at the IB meeting

      We will be sending a ballot to individual sPHENIX IB members very
      shortly.  The ballot will be sent from surveymonkey.com and it
      will have options to vote for or against or to abstain on the
      question of admitting each of these institutions.   The voting
      will close next Friday, January 31, at 5pm ET.
