The Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, invites candidates to apply for a Research Associate position in Experimental Heavy Ion Nuclear Physics.

The successful candidate will participate in research with members of the Heavy Ion Reactions group within the Physics Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and their collaborators, focusing on data analysis in the area of jet physics with ALICE detector, with emphasis on jet substructure and heavy flavour, as well as, work on the TPC and Emcal upgrade of the detector for Run-3. 

The successful candidate is also expected to contribute to the JETSCAPE software, physics modeling and data to theory comparisons. The work place is at CERN, Geneva, Switzerland. The position can be filled as early as possible, but not later than June 2019. To apply please use the link given below.
