-------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: Assistant and Mid-level Professor Positions in Theoretical or Experimental Physics [UC Riverside] Date: Sat, 23 Nov 2019 12:20:51 -0800 From: Kenneth N. Barish <Kenneth.Barish AT ucr.edu> To: David Morrison <dave AT bnl.gov> Dear Dave,
I am writing as we have to search for
a tenure-track assistant professor and a
tenured mid-level professor. The
positions may be in any area of physics,
including theoretical and experimental
nuclear physics, and is part of the
University of California Office of the
President Advancing Faculty Diversity
recruitment program. The assistant
professor candidate has the option of an
enrichment year (paid by UCR) before
starting their faculty appointment. The
application can be found at: https://aprecruit.ucr.edu/JPF01224
Can you distribute to the sPHENIX
mailing list and to any potentially
interested colleagues - particularly to
females and underrepresented minorities?
Also, let me know of any suggestions
(potential applicants, places to
advertise, etc). I have attached the
"Dear Colleague Letter" and the ad.
Please let me (or any member of our
department) know any questions you or
potential applicants may have.
Best regards,
Ken
p.s. Note that the "Statement of Past
and/or Planned Future Contributions to
Advancing Diversity and Inclusive
Excellence" plays an important role in
the evaluation process, and that
statement along with the research
statement are evaluated based on a set
of rubrics prior to reviewing the rest
of the file.
