Hi Axel,
I do not know the typical practice, but may I ask that the position
listing below be circulated in sPHENIX in whatever manner is usual?
Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Physics
United States Naval Academy
We invite applications for one tenure-track faculty position in physics
starting as early as Autumn 2021. Appointments at all ranks will be
considered, but our preference is for junior faculty at the rank of
Assistant Professor. Candidates in all fields who value a balance
between teaching and research are encouraged to apply. Successful
candidates will demonstrate the potential for teaching a variety of
physics courses including required courses for physics majors at the
upper level. We are committed to hiring faculty who embrace the diverse
nature of our student body comprised of exceptional women and men from
every congressional district in the United States.
Areas of research in our department include acoustics, astrophysics,
computational physics, nuclear physics, optics, and condensed matter.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum:
- A Ph.D. in physics or a related discipline is required. (anticipated
completion of Ph.D. no later than Autumn 2021 is acceptable).
