sPHENIX is a new detector at RHIC.

Dear sPHENIX / New RHIC Detector Collaboration,

As announced previously, the Inaugural sPHENIX / New RHIC Detector Collaboration Meeting will be held Thursday though Saturday on Dec. 10 - 12. We have decided to hold it at Rutgers, where it will be sponsored by Rutgers and Lehigh universities. I'd like to thank Professors Sevil Salur (Rutgers) and Rosi Reed (Lehigh) for their proposal, support and arrangements to hold the meeting at Rutgers and for the website and links.

Please go to http://www.lehigh.edu/~rjr215/NewRhicDetector1stColab.html for a preliminary timetable and the latest information about how to access special hotel rates and necessary location maps. Please note the reception on Thursday after the meeting (5 - 7 PM) followed by the Institutional Board Meeting (from 7 - 10 PM) that is open to the collaboration.  Note that there is no registration fee and yes there is (even) a "free lunch"!

The official indico site can be accessed from this web page. You are encouraged to register and reserve hotels early to facilitate the planning for the meeting and to receive the special hotel rates. Not all hotels have blocked rooms. We are told that all three hotels have rooms available at the quoted rates during the meeting, but if you wait until late that might not be the case.
