Dear sPHENIX / New RHIC Detector Collaboration,

I am pleased to announced that the co-spokesperson team of Gunther Roland and David Morrison has been elected in the sPHENIX / New RHIC Detector Collaboration spokesperson election. Overall 87% of the institutions participated in the election from among the 53 that recently confirmed their participation in sPHENIX. As the new Bylaws requires that at least 75% of the institutions participate in the election voting, this election is officially validated.

I wish to congratulate Dave and Gunther on their election and for their willingness to serve. I wish them all the best in building a strong new collaboration and a successful experiment.

I also thank Bill Zajc and Huan Huang for their assistance in all aspects of the election process.
