sPHENIX is a new detector at RHIC.

Dear sPHENIX Collaborators,

   The bylaws of the sPHENIX collaboration call for an Executive
Council (EC) to help establish scientific priorities, and to review
and act on recommendations of the collaboration management on issues
of major importance. The EC shall have twelve (or more) members. Of
these, four are elected by the Institutional Board (IB). These four
positions are open to all sPHENIX members. (Other members of the EC
are: the management team, management appointed positions, and elected
junior members).

   Presently we are making a call for nominations for sPHENIX members
to serve on the EC. Any collaboration member may nominate a candidate,
however the vote will be made by the IB. Please send nominations to me
at cebra AT physics.ucdavis.edu. Self-nominations are welcome and
encouraged.

  In order to form the EC in a timely manner, I am asking that
nominations by sent to be by midnight Friday February 26th. Once the
nominations have been received and the candidate's are confirmed, we
will announce the details of the IB vote.
