Dear collaborators,

Back on June 14 many of us received the announcement (attached below) of a vote on the charter establishing the EIC Users’ Group.  The vote closes on June 29, just a couple of days from now.  An evolution to a capable EIC detector has long been an integral part of the sPHENIX concept, so whatever your specific sPHENIX physics interests may be, they will be advanced by having a strong EIC Users’ Group.  If you have a few minutes today, why not take a look at the charter (it’s just four pages long), and cast a vote (for, against, or abstain). Participating in the process, however you decide to vote, helps to indicate interest in this important direction for the field, and for sPHENIX.

As I write this, 255 votes have been cast – 50 in the last 24 hours!  Abhay’s instructions below, plus a little bit of your time, adds up to a great opportunity to participate.

Cheers,
Dave and Gunther

Dear EIC Users Group Member,

Yesterday I sent you the modified EICUG Charter as attachment to my email (see below).
The EICUG Charter is now ready for your vote. The web page to  visit is:
You will need the following password to access: charter-2016

At the above site you will find:
1) draft charter (April 2016) that was sent to you in April,
2) the Writing Group’s comments on your suggestions/modifications and
3) the final current version of the Charter.
4) and you will see a link to the VOTING Page. We urge every one of you to vote as soon as
possible, and certainly BEFORE JUNE 29th, 2016

After you vote, also remind the Colleagues at your insitutions who are part of
the EICUG to vote. They should have this email in their inbox as well.

Thank you very much,
Abhay (for the EICUG Charter Writing Group)
