My ``personal recollection’’ article ``Waiting for the W and the Higgs’’

This is a major expansion and improvement of the ``Waiting for the W’’
article that was in RHIC News of
August 12, 2008 and covers the period from the prediction of parity violation
and the W boson to the
discovery of the Higgs boson and the effect these had on physics as it
affected me and my many
collaborators, collaborations and friends.

If you have time to read it, I hope that you enjoy it and possibly learn
something new.
