Repository updates
· Pending pull request from Carlos Pere: new TPC clustering https://github.com/sPHENIX-Collaboration/coresoftware/pull/263 o TODO: rename digitizer class to PHG4TPCDigitizer o Request check and append cluster pull distribution ((reco - truth)/estimated_uncertainty) to the pull requst o Request check tracking efficiency VS before the change for the cylindrical tracker macro: G4_Svtx_maps+IT+tpc.C, i.e. not breaking on-going simulation studies with cylindrical models o Is macro need to be changed? § Constructing new macros for tracking system (next bullet) § Current setting tested with cylindrical-simplified tracker macros · Coming: Tony to add new tracking macro summarize recent developments in laddered silicon tracker, TPC readout plane and GenFit2 kalman filter refit. · Online software repository: online_distribution repository (https://github.com/sPHENIX-Collaboration/online_distribution ) has been successfully separated from the offline coresoftware repository. Has been tested for a while. Martin and Chris will remove its duplication in coresoftware soon. · Coding style: Carlos and Tom brought up very good point on unifying coding style. We should determine coding style guideline and associated code style checker tools. o Previous considerations including adopting Google C++ Style Guide or ROOT C++ Coding Conventions.
Purity estimation for di-b-jets - Haiwang Yu
Summary: run a new batch of p+p simulation to extend the Geant4-based tagging purity-efficiency study from single b-jet tagging to di-b-jets. Need to double check many details.
Slide 2: cuts summary
Slide 3: significance of the largest displaced track in each jet of di-jets Suggestion to double check performance VS previous single b-jet simulation
Slide 4: Haiwang: statistics is low Jin: suspicious high purity for single track and lower efficiency for two- and three-track cuts Jin: suggest double check single track tagging eff.
Slide 5: Haiwang found truth tagging yields large fraction of b-jet light-jet pairs. Jin and Haiwang plan to work on double checking the setup and result.
