XLVII International Symposium on Multiparticle Dynamics
(ISMD2017)
September 11-15, 2017, Tlaxcala City, Mexico

The XLVII edition of the International Symposium on Multiparticle Dynamics
will take place in Tlaxcala City, Mexico, during September 11-15, 2017.
The Symposia are a series of mayor international high-energy physics
conferences addressed to theorists and experimentalists from three
different but related communities: High energy, heavy ion and
astroparticle physics. The common theme is the interest in reactions
involving a large number of particles in the final state. The previous two
meetings in the series took place in Jeju Island, South Korea (2016) and
Wildbad Kreuth (Germany). The goal is to provide a pleasant and
stimulating environment for presentation and discussion of recent
experimental and theoretical developments in the field. Attendance is
limited to about 100 participants.

1. Scientific program

Multiparticle correlations and fluctuations: From small to large systems
Conveners: Sandra Padula, Fuqiang Wang

Hadronic final states in high p_T interactions
Conveners: Ralf Rapp, Charles Gale

Forward physics and diffraction
Conveners: Martin Hentschinski, Christophe Royon

Perturbative and nonperturbative features of QCD
Conveners: Marcelo Loewe, Kenji Fukushima

Collectivity in high-energy collisions: Jets, flow and other aspects
Conveners: Jorge Noronha, Bjorn Schenke

Proton structure, small- and large-x physics
Conveners: Bruno El-Bennich, Amir Rezaeian

Cosmic ray and astroparticle physics
Conveners: Mario Rodriguez, Juan Carlos Arteaga

2. Registration

Registration is open. Please follow the link to the registration form in
our website. In case you are interested in giving an oral presentation,
please send a title and an abstract and indicate the session where you
want to present your work. The abstracts will be directed to the session

with the subject line: application for fellowship ISMD2017.

4. Visas

The visa requirements to enter Mexico are listed in

http://www.mexperience.com/do-i-need-a-visa-to-visit-mexico/

Please notice that for some nationalities the visa application can take
several weeks to process. Plan accordingly. If you require applying for a
visa, please request from the organizing committee a letter of invitation.

5. Venue

Tlaxcala City, (see for example:

http://beta.visitmexico.com/en/main-destinations/tlaxcala/tlaxcala)

is a small colonial town in Central Mexico located about 120 kilometers
east from Mexico City. The ride can take between one and a half and two
hours depending on traffic. Participants arriving on Sunday, September 10
to Mexico City’s international airport will be taken by bus to the
conference hotel in Tlaxcala City. There will be one bus departing at

accordingly. More details will be provided shortly. For those not taking
the conference buses, the easiest way to reach Tlaxcala City from Mexico
City’s international airport is to take a taxi to the east bus station
(TAPO). From there you can take a bus to Tlaxcala City. The only bus line
providing a direct service to Tlaxcala City is ATAH. From the bus station
in Tlaxcala City take a taxi to Hotel Posada San Francisco. Schedule,
prices and duration of the ride can be checked in
