sPHENIX is a new detector at RHIC.

Dear all (cc’d sphenix-list),

As discussed before, we think it is the time to start bi-weekly MVTX detector group meeting on every other Friday 12:00-1:30PM (BNL) when there is no sPHENIX general meeting. 

The purpose is to discuss progress & plan of the MVTX full proposal development and detector R&D.

Draft agenda:

• Review and discuss MBTX BNL DR report and our plan
• Priority to-do list for ALD’s DOE visit in mid/late October
• Physics and simulation status and plan 
• MVTX project status – cost, schedule & risks etc. 
• MVTX LDRD progress status 
• Other topics - TBD 

We cc’d sPHENIX list so people interested in MVTX development but not on the MVTX mailing list (phenix-maps-l AT lists.bnl.gov) should consider to subscribe to it.  

In the future, we will use the MVTX mailing list for most of the MVTX related announcements.
