you might have noticed that bnl was offline for pretty much the whole day. It came back about 2 hours ago.

To all users of the RHIC, US Atlas and SDCC facilities

There was a network outage affecting all traffic into
and out of Brookhaven National Laboratory starting on
Saturday December 16, 2017 at 06:30 ET and ending
later in the day at 21:40 ET.

Although network connectivity to/from the BNL site
has been restored, the possibility exists of residual
network latencies as things get back to normal.

The cause was a combination of incidents outside the
BNL site.

RHIC/US Atlas/SDCC managment and staff apologize for
any inconvenience this may have caused you.
