Friends,
Not unexpectedly, the QM organizers have decided to merge the two abstracts we submitted for talks into one presentation in the "Future facilities, upgrades and instrumentation” session. Dave and I will prepare the merged abstract.
Please send speaker nominations for this talk to us as soon as possible - we will try to make a decision before the
deadline for young researcher support applications of Feb 1.
We are also asked to confirm the acceptance/presenter for the QM posters we submitted. As a reminder, the poster abstracts can be found at
Please let us know who is planning to prepare/present which poster - deadline for poster acceptance is this Friday!
Best,
Gunther and Dave

Dear Gunther Roland,
we are pleased to inform you that your abstract "Jet Physics with the Novel Calorimeter System for the sPHENIX Detector at RHIC" with ID #855 is accepted as a Parallel Talk in the "Future facilities, upgrades and instrumentation” parallel session. Note that, for scheduling reasons, the session may differ from the Scientific Track that you have chosen when submitting.
Because of the large number of abstracts that we received, we are proposing in a few cases to cover the topics of more than one abstract in a single Parallel Talk.
Please, include in your abstract the content of abstract ID 859 with title “The sPHENIX tracking system: Complete heavy flavor physics at RHIC using a MAPS vertex detector”, modifying the title and the text of this contribution as needed to cover the content of both.
The modified abstract should be sent to qm2018-indico AT pd.infn.it
We kindly ask the experimental Collaborations to send us all the modified abstracts in a single message.
A corresponding conference contribution has been created. Please, visit the page of your conference contribution
https://indico.cern.ch/event/656452/contributions/2869657/
Verify that the contribution information is correct and contact us by replying to this email in case of need. Please contact us urgently if you want to cancel your presentation.
Refer to this page for the instructions for presenters
https://qm2018.infn.it/index.php/instructions-for-presenters/
If you submitted the abstract on behalf of a Collaboration, please let us know at your earliest convenience the actual presenter name. We kindly ask the Collaborations that have more than one talk to send us the whole list of speakers in a single (or a few) messages before the 20th of Febraury.
Please, remember that the presenters must be registered participants of the conference. Register as soon as possible for the conference, if not done already.
We remind you that early fee payments must be received by the 1st of March.
We also remind you that applications for student support must be received by the 1st of February.
This is a summary of your submitted abstract.
