Friends,

We were a little too hasty in sending out the previous mail. Please find
below a revised version with important corrections!

We would like to congratulate everyone for hitting a
series of important sPHENIX milestones this week!

Thanks to large, dedicated efforts, that started in some
cases years ago, this week we ramped the sPHENIX
SC-Magnet  to 105% current, we rigged the last vestiges of
the PHENIX Central Magnet out of 1008 and we shipped the latest
generation of calorimeter prototypes to FNAL.  We had a very
successful Cost and Schedule Review, requested by Bob
Tribble and Berndt Mueller. A big Thank You! to all
collaborators involved, and to Maria Chamizo-Llatas for organizing
this and other sPHENIX reviews. Many long hours by many people
made these successful outcomes possible.  Great job
all around!

Of course we're not done. In fact, we are just getting started.
We hope and expect that the same expertise, dedication and
incredible effort that was needed to make these major
activities come out so well this week, will carry the
sPHENIX project to a successful completion and great discoveries!
There is a lot of work ahead but we have a very strong team to
get it done.

  All the best,

  Dave, Gunther, Ed and Glenn
