Hi Dennis,

Many thanks to you and the CO group for pulling all this together.  I have just one question - is there any value to a log-log version of the plots on page 6?  There's been a lot of concern about high-z, which is kind of hidden on a linear scale.

Hi sPHENIX collaborators,

As discussed in the General Meeting, I am circulating a proposed slate of plots to be used for the CD-1 review. These characterize the heavy ion jet reconstruction performance in Au+Au collisions, as well as an updated statistical projection T-shirt plot. To give them a consistent labelling, I have added “sPHENIX MIE 2018” to all proposed plots.

The main change with respect to those shown at the GM is that I have rerun all but the highest-pT QCD slices with a lower minimum seed-jet pT used in the second iterative stage of the HI jet reco. This gives more sensible results for the pT response and resolution at low-pT as expected, particularly noticeable when using the HI-style jet reco in pp collisions.

Please take a look — we are happy for comments at any level,

Dennis
