Hi Edward,
Very nice talk and set of slides. Just a few comments:

Slide 4: I'm not sure what you mean by "Three Whales". I know our calorimeters are large, but they don't actually swim in the ocean, and their not even mammals. You really lost me on this one...

Slide 6: There is always some confusion about what we call "sectors" as opposed to "half-sectors" for the EMCAL, but for consistency in other parts of your talk, and how we've been referring to them in the various sPHENIX reviews, I would say we have 64 sectors, which are the physical units that we are building.

Slide 7: We are now officially quoting our energy resolution for the EMCAL as 16%/(SQRT(E) \oplus 5%. I don't think you should use the old number of 15%/SQRT(E) any longer, even if it's in quotations.

Slide 19: The 15%/SQRT(E) appears again here. I would just remove this from this slide, and maybe just say that the energy resolution is comparable to underlying event energy for electrons from upsilons. You can look at the CDR and see how we tried to get around this.

Slide 20: We can't claim that "The Calorimeters are dead space free" (they're certainly not...), but you can say they have "minimal dead space". I'd also make this summary a bulletized list just to make it easier to read.

Other than that, I would say again that it's a very nice talk. I hope the conference goes well and you can tell us about all the new developments when you get back.

Cheers,
Craig

Hi Edouard,

You need to post your slides where everyone in the collaboration can get
to them. The area you've pointed to is only accessible to PHENIX
collaborators.

I've created an event under the sPHENIX Public Presentations page. You
can upload your slides there: https://indico.bnl.gov/event/4650/

Cheers,
Dave
