Hi folks,
chances are you do not have to read this - your browser and email client most likely supports TLS 1.2 which has been around for years and you are using it.

the security of web and email services is based on TLS. TLS 1.2 has been the standard for many years TLS 1.0 is vulnerable and almost nobody uses TLS 1.1. All browsers should support TLS 1.2, you can check your browser using this website:

https://www.howsmyssl.com/

(and no, this is not an attempt by cyber to make you click on a bad link, my ubuntu firefox uses TLS 1.3)

In terms of emails it's the same with the exception that outlook in office 2010 on windows 7 only supports TLS 1.0. In this case you will have to change your email client or upgrade the office version (or go through a rather complicated procedure to upgrade outlook:
https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/schrimsher/2016/07/08/enabling-tls-1-1-and-1-2-in-outlook-on-windows-7/

Again - I don't expect anyone will notice the drop of support (by the end of next week). If you encounter problems, please let me know

Chris
