Hi John,
Very nice talk. The only thing you might think about is adding a bit more our requirements for the calorimeters to meet our physics objectives and that we've shown that they will meet those requirements. For example, on slide 13, you show the plot for the EMCAL resolution but nobody will be able to read it. You may want to list separately the energy resolution we measured in the test beam (13.3%/SQRT(E) + 3.5%) and compare that to our spec of 16%/SQRT(E). I see you also point to the pion rejection on slide 5 but you may want to list the requirement there as well. You could also do the same thing for the HCAL, or maybe list all the specs at the beginning of your talk and then show the test beam measurements later.
I would also agree with Martin that you should mention that we plan to evolve sPHENIX into an eRHIC detector and say that by the time that comes around there will be a working detector and collaboration to go with it to do some of the first physics at EIC. I think the DPF meeting would be a good place to spread the word that that's our plan.
Cheers,
Craig

I'm giving a talk at the DPF meeting in Boston this Tuesday, July 30, 2019 (at 5:20pm, hopefully I can be heard over the growling stomachs) called "Calorimetry in the sPHENIX Experiment at RHIC."
I probably won't be able to resist tweaking it, but here it is for now:

Comments and suggestions are welcome, and thanks to everyone who contributed to it, especially those who didn't know they did so.
