Dear sPHENIX:

We could use some student help with the HCAL sector assembly at the factor in building 912. In particular, if there are undergraduate students that would like to get a little bit of “hands-on” experience this is an excellent opportunity before classes start again for the fall. Most of the required training to work in the factory can be done online, so the overhead is pretty low.

Our goal is to install all the scintillating tiles in the remaining sectors that are on assembly stands by the end of August, and we could use an additional four or more people to help us do that.  If you have any students that might be interested, please contact Stefan Bathe (bathe AT bnl.gov) and Daniel Richford (daniel.richford AT gmail.com) to coordinate.

Regards,
John Lajoie
