    Dear all,

     I am very pleased to announce that we have been officially approved

    for PD-2/3. The BNL Lab Director, Doon Gibbs, signed both the

     sPHENIX PD-2/3 Approval document and the Project Management Plan

    this morning. Thank you to all those who worked so hard

    to make this possible.

     It is now up to us to complete that which we have started so well.
