    Dear sPHENIX Colleagues,
Yesterday we held a BNL-charged review of the proposal
to fund the instrumentation for the Inner HCal. The review
preparation and presentations were organized by John Haggerty.
The review outcome was outstanding, thanks to both John and
the review speakers. The review committee was chaired
by Flemming Videbaek. It concluded that the proposal was sound
and that it should move ahead.  They commented that the iHCal
instrumentation is important, and cost effective, while the
cost estimate was well documented and the contingency adequate.
The one recommendation is that we need to carefully scrutinize the
iHCal schedule to ensure it has no impact on the schedule the other
    aspects of sPHENIX.

The written review report should be forthcoming. John, the iHCal
proponents and the review speakers should all be congratulated.
The Indico page for the review, which includes the talks, is here:

    Thanks to all.

    Ed
