Hi folks,

by now we had two cases where specific ip's were blocked from accessing anything in BNL (web page, logins,...). This gets triggered by too many ssh login failures. I don't know the allowed number of failed attempts but with the need to use an ssh tunnel to read email it looks like this can be triggered. If you can get the bnl website on your cell phone but not on your laptop it is a strong indication for being blocked. In this case you need to either file a ticket with itd (give them your guest id)

or call them up (631) 344-5522 (where the operator will ask you for your BNL id, so have your badge ready).
