Hi Michael

Thanks for the nice dry run. Here is my notes of the discussion. Please update your slides and post to the collaboration.

Cheers

Jin

General:

Slide 3/4:

  • Gunther: Change presentation order to outside-in
  • Jin: it is nice to add a reference to an ALICE talk on their ITS MAPS work

Slide 4/5:

  • Yasser: geometry numbers need to be updated to the latest - new MVTX layers radius: 24.6 - 39.9 mm
  • Dave: sPHENIX benefits years of detector R&D in other collaborations, e,g. MAPS from ALICE, FELIX from ATLAS. Using CERN facility as sPHENIX is CERN recognized experiment. Adding a picture of Michael in a cleanroom suit
  • Jin: Show a picture of sPHENIX MAPS integration
  • Yasser/Ming: Mention stave delivery schedule. 6 FELIX cards in production

Slide 6:

  • Gunther: CA - Optimizing for efficiency.
  • Gunther: Close to goals of 5s per AuAu event reconstruction time
  • Gunther: move slow control to near-production status. Spell out GBT-SCA.
  • Yasser: mention slow control framework SWT. General readout diagram to backup
  • Dave: add a point of comparison for each major bullet

Slide 8:

  • Dave: underline the importance of a precision vertex
  • Gunther: swap to DCA_Z DCA_rphi plots

Slide 10:

  • Gunther: top plot keep right only. Mention simulation included suppression. As in LHC, it would be challenging to see in HI collisions.
  • Add a reference to the curve, [10.1103/PhysRevD.100.014008 ]
  • FYI: Sasha L's talk has projected upper limit for Y(3s) too: https://indico.bnl.gov/event/5461/contributions/28053/attachments/22612/31997/Current_status_of_Upsilon.pdf

Slide 11:

  • Gunther: re-title
  • Dave/Gunther: separate inclusive tagger for b-jet and exclusive tagger on the right side, allow extending pT range. Unique topology allowing ID without PID

Slide 12:

Slide 14:

  • Hideki/Dave: Mention support via LANL LDRD

Slide 15:

  • Trigger discussion of obtaining R_AA

Slide 16/17:

  • Dave/Jin: reference to STAR talk and publication

Slide 19:

  • Update poster list with Marzia
