Hi Cameron
Thanks for the nice slides! Few comments as following:
- Slide 6: “Task force studying the addition of a 4th sub-detector” sounds unclear. Suggest remove this bullet.
Meanwhile, the first bullet could use some expansion, .e.g Pixel vertex tracker (MVTX), intermediate silicon tracker (INTT), and Time Projection Chamber (TPC) - Slide 7: “RHIC trigger latency “ -> “sPHENIX trigger latency”
- Slide 8: please remove the dE/dx resolution as it is measured in an EIC-oriented configuration, and not configured in the sPHENIX low-IBF modes
- Slide 9: suggest use the resolution plot, Fig 8 right of arXiv:2003.13685
- Slide 11: may be too detailed.
- Slide 12: Bottom label, it would be good to mention the resonance in figure title, D^0 and B_s
- Last few slides: I agree with Ming that as this is the only talk for sPHENIX, it would be important to show broader topics beyond just HF. One tell-all plot for short presentations
may be the last backup slide of QM19 sPHENIX talk [
https://indico.bnl.gov/event/6873/contributions/32704/attachments/25313/37942/QM19_MVTX_v2.pdf ]. And a cartoon-ish overview can be the slide as attached [HP2020 sPHENIX talk].
Cheers
Jin

Subject: [Sphenix-l] sPHENIX ICHEP draft slides
Hi all,
Please find attached my draft slides for ICHEP next week. The talk is in the session “Operation, Performance and Upgrade of Present Detectors” (https://indico.cern.ch/event/868940/sessions/352782/#20200728)
and is a 12+3.
If anyone has any suggestions, comments or additions/subtractions please let me know. The backup currently has two blank slides on ePHENIX and a potential fourth tracker, I don’t know If these are things we are saying publicly or not yet.
Cheers,
Cameron
