Dear sPHENIX collaborators,

I am slated to give a talk at the “Opportunities of pO and OO collisions at the LHC” workshop tomorrow at 10:30am BNL time. I apologize for the very short notice.

The workshop indico page is here: https://indico.cern.ch/event/975877/

While the workshop is focused on the LHC, I think it is a nice opportunity to present the sPHENIX capabilities for measurements in light ion systems, specifically those we explored for the Beam Use Proposal ( Chapter 8: https://indico.bnl.gov/event/7881/attachments/30176/47160/sPH-TRG-2020-001.pdf ).

I have uploaded a draft set of slides to my CERN area here:

http://dvp.web.cern.ch/dvp/dvp-sPHENIX-Opportunities-2-10-21-DRAFT.pdf

(warning: the file size is quite large)

Note that I start with some “boilerplate” slides for those in the LHC community not familiar with the mission, status, and context of sPHENIX, and also note that I have an outstanding TODO to fill in on slide 12.

Any comments are very welcome.
