Dear all,

The Wayne State Heavy-Ion group is looking for two strong Postdocs to work on ALICE and/or STAR/sPhenix.

Thanks

Joern

------

The Experimental High Energy Nuclear Physics group, Department of
Physics and Astronomy, Wayne State University, invites applications
for two postdoctoral research associate positions. Candidates should
hold a Ph.D. in high energy particle or nuclear physics and have a
strong background in the data analysis. The Wayne State group
(Professors: W. Llope, C. Pruneau, J. Putschke, and S. Voloshin) is a
member of the ALICE collaboration at LHC and the STAR Collaboration at
RHIC, as well as participate in construction and developing of the
physics program of the future sPHENIX experiment. The WSU RHI group
profits from close collaboration with the large high energy nuclear
theory group consisting of Profs. A. Majumder, S. Gavin, and
C. Shen. WSU is a leading institution in the theoretical
X-SCAPE/JETSCAPE Collaboration, as well as a member of the BEST
Collaboration.

The successful candidate will conduct research and carry out data
analysis within the ALICE or STAR Collaboration in the areas of the group
interests (chiral and polarization phenomena, 2- and multi-particle
correlations, critical phenomena, anisotropic flow, jet structure,
tomography and energy loss).

Applications including a CV, a brief description of the
research interests, list of publications, and three recommendation
letters should be sent electronically to:
Prof. Sergei A. Voloshin, E-mail: sergei.voloshin AT wayne.edu,
or Prof. Joern Putschke, E-mail: joern.putschke AT wayne.edu
To ensure a full consideration, apply before May 15th, 2021.
An additional position (ALICE data analysis) might be available later in Fall of 2021.
