Dear All, 
the MDC2-software Workfest will kick-off Wednesday at 9am. If you have not 
signed yet but want to participate, please do so ASAP [1]. 

*** For beginners: 
Slides+recording of a Tutorial on sPHENIX software are available [2]. We 
encourage you to go through this *before* the Workfest starts to get familiar 
with the basics. 

*** For everybody:
We plan at the moment 3 working groups, with a plenary, mixed, and individual 
working sessions between the 3: Calor (reco+calibrations), Tracking 
(reco+calibrations), TGs (reco objects). 

There is a plenary session on Wednesday, please join no matter if you plan or 
not to stay for the rest. This will contain:
—> short reports from all groups (w/ emphasis on person power needs) and 
plans for the 3 days; —> co-conveners have been contacted offline to organize 
—> and  a few dedicated talks on important subjects on which before having a 
workfest for we need a brainstorm on: Alignment, Analog readout, and DST 
definition. —> speakers have been contacted and agreed. 

Each day will end with a ’Summary of the day’, and next day will start with 
‘Plan of the day and changes’, each of 30min. We will keep track of all 
reports in a google doc. 

The final agenda will be decided on Tuesday, after the Software&Sim meeting 
at 1pm ET, in which we plan to touch-base with representatives of all groups 
to get their plans.
