Dear sPHENIX collaborators! The excitement builds! The collaboration meeting starts Monday morning at 9am ET. Right now, we have about 25 people who plan to attend in person, which is excellent, considering the recently updated BNL guidance that we have to follow in order to have a meeting at the Lab. If you're one of the people planning to be there with us in the Large Seminar Room, remember that you need to upload a negative COVID test taken within the three days before the meeting. Even if you're a BNL employee, you'll need to do this to come and sit in the LSR! The Indico registration page (https://indico.bnl.gov/event/15500/) will allow you to upload a file of a negative test result. Just go to your own registration and click "modify" – you'll see a link to upload a file. Upload a file or photo from within three days of the start of the meeting indicating a negative test. Regards, Dave and Gunther PS: The Indico page also has the zoom links for all our collaborators who will be participating remotely. On 5/19/22 12:38 PM, David Morrison

Dear
collaborators,
The sPHENIX collaboration meeting starts in just a few days! It will be a hybrid meeting, with a limited number of people able to meet together at BNL, and with a zoom connection to bring the rest of the collaboration into the discussion. We have received approval to have this hybrid meeting with in-person participant limit capped at < 50 (large seminar room capacity with social distancing). We have 20 collaborators who've registered for the meeting and have indicated they plan to attend in person. We do have room for some more attendees, but we need to watch the total carefully. I realize that saying "please do come to BNL, but not too many" is a confusing message, but this seems unavoidable. What we need to do during the meeting: - Masks are required for all in-person participants - Social distancing (space greater than 6 feet) will be required - All participants who will attend the meeting in person (BNL employees too!) are required to provide proof of a negative test result within three days before they arrive at the lab for the meeting. BNL attendees can take advantage of the onsite testing program. The incoming visitors will just need to get tested in the three days before they arrive. In addition to lab or pharmacy testing, home tests will be considered acceptable for proof of a negative test (evidence can include a photograph of the negative test result). The Indico registration page (https://indico.bnl.gov/event/15500/) will allow you to upload a file of a negative test result. Just go to your own registration and click "modify" – you'll see a link to upload a file. Upload a file or photo from within three days of the start of the meeting indicating a negative test. We'll update the Indico page with any updates.
