Hi Dennis,

Thanks for the feedback. I've updated the slides to have a bit more in depth discussion for a couple of measurements where I think we will be able to provide interesting new information compared to current measurements from the LHC.

I'm happy to take any more comments on the slides before the talk tomorrow afternoon.

Best,
Virginia

Hi Virginia,

Thanks for sending around these draft slides.

The talk is a comprehensive and well-presented summary of the sPHENIX jet & HF physics programs - I think you could give it as is and it would represent the effort very well.

However, I wanted to suggest to you that you consider making it more “personal”. It is a parallel talk in one of the AUM workshops, and so I think you have more latitude here to try to spark a discussion.

For example, is there some particular projection you want to pick and explain the context in a bit more detail? You could take, say, the jet v2 in AA projections and spend a few slides talking about recent results, what’s the physical meaning of the measurement, why is it an interesting test of theoretical models, etc.

Dear all,

I was asked to present the sPHENIX perspective during the heavy-flavor and jet workshop at the RHIC/AGS Annual Users Meeting next week. I've attached my draft slides for the talk, which is 20 minutes for the talk + questions, and would appreciate any comments/suggestions/corrections from the collaboration. The session is on Wednesday afternoon, so please send any feedback before Wednesday.

Best,
Virginia
