Hi Anne,

These draft slides look great. I have only a few, all very optional, suggestions below.

Dennis

Slide 4: you could tweak this to say “huge Au+Au and p+p samples with unbiased triggering” which sets up your point on slide 15 (where you could also add “or RAA^PYTHIA” after “not RCP”?)

Slide 13: when I discuss this part of the physics case, I like to stress that while we’re showing projections for some specific sub-structure observable, we expect to have such a large yield of jets in a region where we’ll have good experimental control, that all kinds of doors will be open - novel grooming techniques like TimeDrop (and those that haven’t been developed yet), subtle wake physics effects, etc.

Slide 15: you could consider showing this before slide 14, and argue that not only do we expect this great kinematic coverage with non-Prompt D0’s out to ~10-15 GeV (in addition to the full B state reconstruction we are developing), but that we can then immediately extend to higher pT with full b-jet tagging. So we will have a near ~uninterrupted kinematic coverage for B energy loss and flow

Slide 18: I find it delightful that JETSCAPE sent a speaker to our workshop (which I think was very useful for us on the experimental side) and here we are returning the favor (which will hopefully be as useful to the JETSCAPE side) - you could say we hope to continue this excellent scientific relationship

Slide 19: could be an opportunity to mention the possible re-use of the OHCal + solenoid for ECCE/Detector-1/EPIC - maybe you intended to say that out loud but not write it on the slide

Hi all,

I was asked to give a talk at the JETSCAPE Summer School.  The talk is tomorrow, August 5, and you can find a draft version here:

There are still some missing references and some slides will be reworked, but I would appreciate any feedback.  I apologize for the late posting.

Best,
Anne
