    Dear all,
We reached two very important sPHENIX milestones today.

The sPHENIX magnet was ramped to its nominal full
operating current of 4598A. Everything worked as expected.
Ramping tests will continue until the end of this week. The
CERN team arrives at BNL this weekend to begin preparation for
magnet mapping which will begin next week.

The second half of the MVTX arrived at BNL from LBNL.
The visual inspection of the MVTX suggests that the transportation
was uneventful. Electrical tests will be completed soon.

Congratulations to everyone who made these events possible.

    Thanks.

    Ed
